This month the North Olympic Youth Corps was awarded a grant from the Port Angeles Education Foundation to implement a peer mediation program within Port Angeles High School. The volunteer center collaborated with local attorneys, mental health consolers, and the high school faculty members to jump start this program. In February, Peace Keepers-A Peer Mediation Program, will train 20-30 student volunteers to act as mediators within their school. 2010 will be an exciting year for the Youth Corps!
